Our scholarship holder, Ms. Julia Kalicka, performing on an Edmund Paulus violin, appeared as a soloist with the NFM Leopoldinum Orchestra under the baton of Mr. Christian Danowicz at the National Forum of Music in Wrocław. This performance was a special prize for winning first place at the 7th International Wanda Wilkomirska Violin Competition of Polish Music. Both Julia and the orchestra gave a brilliant performance of Pablo de Sarasate’s Carmen Fantasy, Op. 25: I. Moderato.
