Pizzicato Foundation scholarship holders Julia Kalicka and Aleksander Żyła performed as soloists during Lubelska Wiosna Młodych 2026, accompanied by the Lublin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Łukasz Sidoruk.
Julia presented the first movement, Allegro ma non troppo, of Dvořák’s Violin Concerto in A minor, Op. 53, combining lyrical expression with technical brilliance.
Aleksander performed the first movement, Allegro moderato, of Karłowicz’s Violin Concerto in A major, Op. 8, a work rich in Romantic melodies and virtuosic passages.
Both musicians study with Agnieszka Cypryk at the Fryderyk Chopin Music School in Biała Podlaska. Their appearance offered a valuable opportunity to develop their artistry alongside a professional orchestra.
